Existing project data files (.ctp) can be further used with the updated version of Cubetto Toolset provided the following conditions are fullfilled:
The projects to be further used (.etp files) are stored in the installation directory or in the home folder/subfolder
The corresponding model data files(.etc.zip files) are also stored
in the installation directory or in the home folder/subfolder. The
creation of a data folder in the installation
directory is one of the standard setting for new projects.
The documentation of the new Cubetto version does not mention explicit information regarding a modification of the data structure.
If the conditions for the data transfer are fullfilled, the following steps can be taken:
Rename the installation directory of the previous Cubetto version (e.g. Cubetto Toolset (old)).
Install the new version into a new directory.
If the project data have been stored in the installation directory, copy them into the installation directory of the new Cubetto version. Both project data (.etp) and model data (.etc.zip) need to be copied.
Should the conditions not be met, existing data can be transferred by exporting the existing model data with the hiterto Cubetto Toolset version - i.e. before installing the new version, and import them into a new project after the update.
