8.1. Working with projects

8.1.1. Select a project

After having started the Model Editor, several functions enabling to open and create modelling projects are can be used. First of all you see an overview of all projects in your workspace. You can browse the latest projects using the tabs on the left. Choose the preferred project and click Edit to open it.

Create a new project

Creates a new project.

Choose the preferred project and click Edit to open it.

Opens an existing project.

Last used project

Browse the recent projects by using the tabs This week and This month. Move the mouse over a project name to display the related information. For opening, select it and click Edit.

Close

Closes the Model Editor.

Help

Displays the help menu.

8.1.2. Data Migration

If you want to change permanently from one database to another, e.g. from the integrated database to a MySQL® server, you certainly want to keep your old data. To do that, please follow the next steps:

8.1.3. User Set Up

Cubetto® Toolset possesses an efficient user management, with this you can individually regulater the access to single (meta-) model parts for each use. For the more efficient administration of the access right you, can allocate roles to them, which you assign to the actual users of the system. At the first start of the Cubetto® Clients you have to set up these roles and users to begin with, a change is possible at any time in operation.

You find the administration of the users in the User tab of the Model Editor. Here you will also see the already existing users and roles. New roles and users you can add using the main menu Configuration - New - Set Up User or Role. By double clicking the user, a window opens for the set up of name, password, roles and rights. Every user can have a Primary Role (by ticking the box of the role name). When the user starts new objects, this role will automatically get all Reading and Writing Rights.
