8.4. Working with Multilingual Models

The switching between different languages is no problem for most tools. So several Languages for the Graphic User Interface are also available in the Cubetto Toolset.

But the Cubetto Toolset goes even one step further: Here you can store your models in different languages. Because of that, e.g. process models of your company can be available to colleagues worldwide in their respective mother tongue. This support is facilitated by company wide reference models.

To do this, the model creator has to leave expressions for the Model Elements in every possible language. This can take place for names of all E³-Elements, i.e. objects, presentations, models, etc. To enter a name in several languages proceed as follows:

  1. Create an element and name it as usual.

  2. Change the model language. Every element, which is not translated yet, appears still in the standard language.

  3. Adjust the names of the elements to the selected language.

  4. You can go back to your standard language by selecting it as the model language.

As you see the changes have not overwritten the properties of the element in the standard language. But now an according name exists for both languages.
