6.1. Overview

The Model Editor is used to create, edit and view models and all participating elements including users, roles and rights. To meet this complexity, the GUI is split into two parts. The left side contains tabs that include all model data, they are also used to control the view. The right side displays the presentations. Each presentation can be opened in a separate window.

Menu bar

The menu bar and its menu items allow the access to all functions available in the Model Editor.

Tool bar

The tool bar contains symbols for the most important commands. So frequently used functions are quickly available.

Tab

The tabs contain elements enabling to check and control the configuration. For a better overview you have the possibility to show the tabs either on the left or the right side of the GUI.

Presentation panel

The presentation panel is for editing the current presentation.

Status bar

The status bar provides information about the memory used by the application, the current status of processes and contains a recycle bin that can be used to delete model elements by drag-and-drop.
